Barceló Imagine: Scene for the ES Eurovision 2018 pre-party

On Friday the 20th of April, all eyes were on the Barceló Imagine. The first musical hotel in Madrid played host over the weekend to the 21 participants in the much-awaited Eurovision 2018 gala for the ES Pre-party.

This new musical hotel in Madrid was the chosen venue to host the press presentation of this year’s 21 participants, amongst whom we have the Spanish representatives: Amaia y Alfred.

Dozens of people – including members of the national and international press and many fans – attended the Barceló Imagine to see their current musical idols, with the main attractions being Amaia and Alfred, contestants in the ‘Operación Triunfo’ talent show and the Spanish representatives at Eurovision.

The day started with various activities that allowed the representatives from each country to get to know each other and discover the hotel facilities, amongst which a great favourite was the grand piano in the lobby bar. In the evening, the artists enjoyed a relaxed cocktail on the terrace at the Studio 32 bar with journalists and they also posed for photos with some of their fans before starting the press conference in one of the large event rooms at the hotel.

A hotel that’s #MADaboutMusic

Barceló Imagine was created as the ideal choice of accommodation as much for those who come to Madrid on business, as those who are looking for a different experience and to immerse themselves in the destination.

The eclectic proposal offered by the hotel brings together all the different musical genres that have made Madrid one of the musical capitals of Europe, from rock and classic pop to flamenco and the songs that made the ‘Madrid Scene’ famous.

This essence is reflected in every corner and area of the hotel, with highlights including the spectacular terrace with outdoor pool, an original choice of gastronomy and 156 spacious rooms, each with a musical theme depending on which floor they are located on and designed in accordance with the highest quality standards of the B-Room by Barceló.

The musical theme also extends to the very top of the hotel, as at the Sky Lounge (located on the roof of the building) guests can enjoy music nights with DJs and live music as well as special events.
